Monthly respite care events:

  • Each event serves as an opportunity for a local church to bless families with individuals with special needs with 2.5-3 hours of respite for a date night or an opportunity to relax and recharge how they desire.
  • Events consist of 1-1 volunteer and attendee ratio with each “Hero” having someone dedicated to ensuring they feel loved on and cared for throughout the night. We offer games, crafts, snacks, and karaoke with each event ending with praise and worship chapel.
  • Our focus is on Hospitality at each event and always striving to find ways to show support to our Heroes, their caregivers and our wonderful volunteers.

Connecting families with essential resources:

  • We work to establish local resources for each club
  • We help find local Christian organizations that support families in a different or better way than we do.
  • At least twice a year we offer a resource night where for the first 30 minutes or so after drop off, parents can go to another room to get info and meet other organization leaders that can support and love them in ways that we don’t. From mental health to medical or financial assistance…getting parents tangible services that can support them even more.
  • Ongoing consultation as needs arise to work to connect families with local resources. Families can reach out and I will work to find resource that meet their specific need
